Heavy Duty Bus Mechanic apprentices will receive 1,650 hours (Lake Washington Institute of Technology) or 1936 hours (South Seattle Community College) of RSI (as directed by the KCMT Apprenticeship Committee) over the course of their apprenticeship. Please note, the RSI is delivered during the first two (2) years as part of the Heavy Duty Diesel program offered by the Washington State Community and Technical College system. Consequently, during years three (3) and four (4), they may not achieve the required 144 hours of RSI per year.
