Safety is included in all aspects of on the job training. Length - six weeks, 40 hours per week in combination of classroom lectures and paid on-the-job training at NCTAP partner facilities. Classroom instruction - one full day per week at WTCC for CAD instruction combined with an online course in manufacturing processes Workplace instruction - depending on the activities of each NCTAP partner, preapprentices will gain knowledge in a range of manufacturing processes including welding, sheet metal fabrication, automation, machining, mold/plastics technology, electronics and machine assembly and repair. Safety - all NCTAP provide instruction in workplace safety for new employees, including pre-apprentices.
