Development Objectives: Upon completing this segment, in approximately three months, the apprentice should be able to satisfactorily demonstrate the following competencies:
- Enjoyment of working with youth in the program.
- Interest in the wellbeing of young people and coworkers in the program.
- A personal “vision” of youth development work.
- Knowledge of youth development concepts, including youth development, developmental outcomes, resiliency, opportunities, services, and supports.
